Specifications of Alienware M11x were earlier leaked on a Chinese website with the device listed at a price tag of $899 (Rs. 43,200 approx.). A few hours after that, Dell listed its high power ultra-portable gaming laptop on its official website. Alienware M11x houses 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Pentium SU4100 with 2MB L2 Cache. For $100, users can update the processor to 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 3MB L2 Cache. Both chips are built on 45nm technology but the Intel Core 2 Duo wins with 1MB higher L2 cache at the same 10W TDP as that of Pentium chip.By default, the M11x comes with 2GB dual channel DDR3 RAM at 800MHz which can be upgraded up to 8GB. One can add up to 500GB 7200RPM HDD or 256GB SSD for storage. Also, this notebook packs Nvidia GeForce GT335M graphics inside for better HD playback and power packed gaming. However, one will have to buy an external DVD drive for this notebook. The 11.6-inch HD display is capable of 720p HD video and games playback. This notebook will be offered in Cosmic Black and Lunar Silver colors.
